August 4, 2017 (London, ONTARIO) – The London Lightning announced Friday that 2016-2017 Finals MVP, Ryan Anderson, will return to London.
"We're so happy to have Ryan back with the Lightning," said owner-general manager, Vito Frijia. "Ryan is a quality individual, a great community guy and a terrific basketball player."
Anderson averaged 16 points and six rebounds per game last season. He also ranked first in the league in 3-point field goals made, 3-point field goals per game and free throw percentage.
Anderson was also named to the All-NBL Playoff team and second team All-NBL for the regular season.
"Last year it was about unfinished business. This year, it's about defending everything we've built. The mission itself has changed but the goal hasn't: we're going to win another championship," said Anderson.
"The city of London and the Lightning organization is the best place to play in Canada. We owe another championship to our fans and the city."
