A native of Seattle, I was encouraged to explore the world of music by my parents. I developed an appreciation for the different facets of music: production, writing and everything in between, including learning to play multiple instruments. I honed my gifts in church playing and singing alongside my father who played the guitar and my mother, who sang in a group with her sisters. I also found success on the basketball court at Rainier Beach High School, which led me to compete D1 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and meet my wife. Since graduating, basketball has taken us on a journey to Europe, several different cities in the US (NBA G-League etc.) and currently, Canada. Playing professional basketball has allowed me to introduce a variety of different audiences to my music. Throughout life’s journey, I’ve come to the realization that we are all in need of more LOVE. I hope to inspire listeners to embrace the TRUE meaning of love, while encouraging relationships. Ultimately, my goal is that God will be glorified through my marriage and music- which can best be described as smooth, soulful and refreshing while mixing a little old school with the new. Ryan Christian Music is a VIBE.
